“Moving the Needle” during the 2024 International Infection Prevention Week

SARAYA participates in the 2024 International Infection Prevention Week, taking place from October 13th to 19th.

As normal life returns, is your awareness of infections fading? Although that may be the case, we never know when another outbreak might occur. Let’s take the opportunity, while celebrating the International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW), to learn about infection prevention and stay mindful of the best infection control practice in our daily lives.

Established in 1986, International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW) is an annual event that aims to raise awareness and educate people about infection prevention. According to APIC, 1 in 31 patients receiving care in a hospital will get a healthcare-associated infection. This year’s IIPW theme is “Moving the Needle on Infection Prevention.” As the theme suggests, making changes in infection prevention can help reduce the likelihood of these infections.
